Getting Results for Florida and the Nation

Dear [firstname],

The House of Representatives is in its annual district work period—a time when Representatives like myself return home to hear directly from the people we represent. While I’m grateful to be back and meeting with the folks who matter most, I remain committed to fighting for the interests of Florida’s 15th District every single day.

I’m proud to share the progress we’re making on key issues. From expanding opportunities for our students, to introducing legislation to cut red tape and protect military voters, to defending election integrity, advancing American energy leadership, and supporting our creative economy—I’ve been working hard to deliver results. Whether questioning witnesses in committee, working across the aisle, or meeting with Floridians on Capitol Hill, I’m focused on advancing our shared values and putting the people of Florida first.

Expanding Opportunity for Our Students

I was honored to join Secretary Linda McMahon, Senator Ashley Moody, and Step Up For Students to celebrate a major milestone in expanding educational opportunity for America’s students. With the Educational Choice for Children Act now included in the One Big Beautiful Bill, we are giving families real tools to choose the best education for their children — whether that means tutoring, transportation, or tailored support for special needs.

Every student deserves the chance to thrive, and this legislation helps make that a reality for families across our nation. I’m proud to support policies that put parents and students first.

Cutting Red Tape & Supporting Our Service Members

Recently, I introduced two important pieces of legislation aimed at reducing government overreach and delivering real results for the American people.

I reintroduced the Supporting Military Voters Act, a bipartisan effort to ensure our service members and their families can fully participate in our democracy—no matter where they’re stationed. These brave Americans risk everything for our country. The least we can do is guarantee their voices are heard at the ballot box.

This bill directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive review of how the federal government is meeting its responsibilities under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). The findings will help Congress understand what’s working, what isn’t, and what improvements are needed to ensure every service member who wants to vote can do so—securely and on time.

I also introduced the Cutting LNG Bunkering Red Tape Act to support Florida’s ports and the hardworking men and women who keep them running.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a clean, efficient marine fuel, and Florida—especially Jacksonville—is leading the nation in LNG bunkering, the process of supplying LNG to ships for fuel. The Biden Administration imposed needless regulatory hurdles, treating these domestic fuel transfers as ”exports.” This designation slows operations, increases costs, and threatens jobs.

My bill would codify a Trump-era policy clarifying that LNG bunkering within U.S. waters is not an export and should not be subjected to burdensome regulations. Florida’s ports—and others across the country—deserve the clarity and certainty they need to plan, expand, and thrive.

Preserving Election Integrity Starts with Clean Voter Rolls

As Florida’s former Secretary of State, I worked closely with county supervisors of elections to ensure our registration lists were up to date. That effort paid off—Florida is now seen as a national leader in election integrity. Clean voter rolls help prevent fraud, reduce confusion at the polls, and build public trust in our elections.

Recently, I participated in a House Administration Committee hearing focused on a critical—but often overlooked—component of election security: maintaining accurate voter rolls. Election integrity isn’t about partisanship—it’s about trust. I will continue working to ensure every legal vote is counted and every state has the tools to secure its elections.

Ensuring Safe and Reliable Energy Infrastructure

I joined colleagues on the Energy and Commerce Committee for a hearing on pipeline safety and infrastructure—an increasingly important issue as our nation’s energy demand continues to grow.

Pipelines are essential to delivering energy efficiently and safely across the country. In Florida—America’s second-largest producer of electricity—our economy and daily life depend on a strong pipeline network.

As Congress considers reauthorization of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), this hearing was a timely opportunity to discuss how we can support pipeline operators while strengthening safety. I’ll continue working to ensure our infrastructure keeps pace with demand and remains secure, affordable, and resilient.

Supporting America’s Creators Through the Creative Rights Caucus

As Co-Chair of the Creative Rights Caucus, I was proud to help host a special panel spotlighting the upcoming Bob Dylan film, A Complete Unknown.

The Creative Rights Caucus brings together Members of Congress and industry leaders to champion American creators—artists, writers, performers, and innovators—whose work fuels a $1.8 trillion creative economy and enriches our national culture.

The panel was a celebration of American storytelling and a reminder of why we must protect intellectual property and ensure creators are fairly compensated for their work. It’s an honor to serve as Co-Chair and elevate the voices of those who shape our communities and economy

Gators in the Capitol

In D.C., I met with Chuck Clemons, the University of Florida’s Vice President for Government and Community Relations. We discussed how UF is preparing the next generation for success. As a proud Gator myself, it was great to catch up and hear what my alma mater is working on. Once a Gator, always a Gator!

Celebrating the Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill

I was honored to attend a White House event celebrating the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill—historic legislation that delivers real relief to the American people. This bill is a major victory for hardworking families and small businesses across the country. In Florida specifically, the One Big Beautiful Bill prevents a 24% tax raise on the average family and a 43.4% tax raise on our small businesses. This legislation is a step in the right direction—putting power back in the hands of the people and ensuring your hard-earned tax dollars are used wisely

Serving Those Who Laid Their Lives on the Line

As your representative in Congress, I am committed to ensuring that our veterans receive the support and recognition they so rightly deserve. That’s why I held a Veterans Resource Fair, designed specifically to connect veterans, service members, and their families with the tools, benefits, and services available to them. It was great to see so many of you in person and hear about the important work being done to serve our veterans.
